Just a bunch of idiots making "bad" art

(sophie, 2025) This is my 3rd attempt at making this website. First I was gonna write it completely myself in HTML. Then CSS became an issue and I gave up with it. I started using WordPress for an easier and more interactive experience. The website looked quite ugly though, so I gave up on that as well. Soooo here we are, on Neocities, using the sadgrl template maker, almost fully unmodified because I kind of really don't like CSS lol. Though to be honest, as I've done work on this site, I've realized that I'm quite good at using words as opposed to visuals.

So, what the hell is a "Catastrophie"?

So hi, welcome to the website of the CATASTROPHIE project (CTP). We're a group of friends who spend way too much time online. sophie and Luke started the CATASTROPHIE project as an easy way for them to collaborate in making Youtube videos in 2024. More members have joined since then. This page will serve as a hub for short member introductions.

Essentially we do art. That includes a lot of things, like visual art, music, writing (Cool stuff), games (possibly), and Youtube videos.
TLDR: This is just a creative project for practically anything.

Hii! I'm sophie, and I'm the co-founder and leader of the CATASTROPHIE project. Technically "sophie" is just a shortened "catastrophie", but I'm not the only person here.
I make experimental music under the alias "LRup.", which technically has an indefinite amount of sub-aliases. But if you're downloading my music, I'd say put the artist metadata as just "LRup.".
For videos, I'm typically the voice, face, recorder, and audio editor.
I manage all our social media, as well as this website
I also do the majority of the storytelling of CTP and our projects, though Allison helps me with writing.

Hello, I'm what's left of LukeKindaWeird (the original name for CTP).
I do almost all the video editing for CTP.
I speedrun games from time to time.

Hi! I'm Allison Hautala (not related to sophie), an aspiring experimental visual artist. I just do art for the sake of doing it. I don't really care if it ends up being "bad" in some people's eyes. I also do some writing, which might also be "bad". But I don't care. I make things for the sake of making things.
Speaking of, so far I have made the all art for CTP, so everything you see on this website. I also made the catastrophie intro, which can be seen in the video "Why I'm CONFUSED about Stride:Fates" in the "catastrophie trash pile (catrashtophie)" playlist on the "catastrophie" channel.
I believe that anything and everything can be art. Yes, even whatever you're thinking of. Literally everything. If you do art as a career, it's a bit of a different story, and I wish you good luck with that. But when I think of art, I think of infinity. The universe will NEVER run out of art.
